Ever feel like you’ve lost sight of yourself in your own life? That somewhere along the way all those hopes and dreams you had when you were younger have been replaced with 'just getting on with it'? We adapt to our roles as they change in life and if we are not careful we become what we think we 'should' be rather than who we really are and who we want to be. So how do we change all that and reconnect back with our true selves?
Meditation is the one sure fire way of getting back in touch with who you really are. Taking time out to sit and be still will open up the channels of communication between what’s inside and how you act on the outside
2. Use your Intuition.
Meditation will help you reconnect with the greatest power source you have – your intuition. The more you enable it, the more it will appear in your life to guide you.
3. Don't be complacent.
Complacency will keep you right where you are now. You need to get out of your comfort zone and get your adrenaline flowing again. Try something different and reconnect to your fun side.
Learn something new and challenge yourself. What really interests you and gets your attention focused? Pick up a book, start a course, be inspired by someone you admire and get back in tune with what you really love.
5. Develop gratitude.
Learn to live ‘in the moment’, to appreciate what life has to offer right now. Find three things to be grateful for every morning before you start your day. You will be surprised at how this simple exercise can shift your mood and remind you of what’s important.
6. Speak your truth.
Speak your truth with compassion and grace. If you don’t agree with someone’s views or you don’t want to do something, don’t do it just to ‘fit in’. Be your own fit and remember that authenticity is magnetic.
7. Make the change.
Be the change you want to see in the world. Make small changes to your life which fit with your view on who you really are and let the impact grow.
8. Have your own goals.
Make plans and goals which move you towards where you want to be. Ask yourself constantly whether your actions are in alignment with what YOU truly want?
9. Uphold your values.
Decide what your top 5 values are in life. Write them down and put them up somewhere where you can read them every day. Make sure every decision and action you take upholds your values. No compromises.
10. Reflect regularly
What you propel outwards into the world, you will receive back. Think about how you act and what you give out into the world and make changes if needed. What you give is what you get.
